First welcome to all the new members who have swelled our ranks the past few months! Â Like the rest of us, you have found that this is a warm and welcoming council fire. While the forum is "The Happening Place" I want to make sure you visit the other sections of Ironage.
The fineprint section contains reprinted magazine articles that I'm sure most have never seen before. For those who have but might have lost those sacred issues over the years it's a great trip down memory lane. We'll be adding to that section shortly. http://ironage.us/fineprint/index.html
That section also contains a link to 52 pages of previously scanned pictures from members, at 24 pics a page....that's a bunch of pictures! I'm not good at the quick math
http://ironage.us/Ironage_Scans/index.html
The gallery, guest editorials, virtual posedowns, plus valuable links to check out. So explore and enjoy!
Plus don't forget our Ironage store!!! http://www.cafeshops.com/ironage The small profit there helps to offset the cost of running the site. Plus women just hang off of you when you wear an Ironage T-Shirt!
Thanks for helping us make this site a shinning beacon in the stormy sea of cyberspace!

Make Muscle, Not War!
|
I am an old geezer myself at 34(35 next month)
Anyways i just want to say that I enjoy checking this site out immensly and that reading some of the old stories and the pics, etc really charges up the training.
I think it would not be too much to make our past our present in reference to our attitudes today in how we treatthe iron game and each other, myself at fault included at times.

Just wanted to say that this is a GREAT site. I am glad people still appreciate the desire and determination these guys possessed. You don't have to be a bodybuilder to appreciate the power of sheer will.
Thanks to the Admins and members who realize that it is important that bodybuilding doesn't lose it roots.
Here's to Ironage, may the site go on forever!

hi, This site is really something. I am a 20 year-old university student in Ottawa, Canada, and I've been working out with weights since I was 16. This year, a friend of mine and I decided to step up our workouts after buying Arnold's New Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding. (If you don't have the book yet, do yourself a big favor and buy it. Honestly, it's the best money I've ever spent. )
So thank you to all those who contribute to this site. It's a great source of motivation and information.

Hello all; I'm just another new member wanting to say greetings and send many thanks for hosting such a valuable website for those of us who favor mass and aesthetics over sheer clumsy mass alone. I just recently returned to the gym after quite a break (pretty much all of college) and I'm trying to make the gains I had started towards in high school. The advice, stories, and comradery I've been reading on this site really fires me up each day to get in the gym and crush my workout. There are some of us like myself who love getting big but can't stand the guys modern bodybuilding is throwing at us on the FLEX covers each month. It is the beauty of the human form guys like Corney, Zane, and Reeves showed me that gave me my aspirations. Thanks again for a venue to discuss the iron age.

Hello to all- I stumbled upon this website while looking for an alternative to the sites and groups of people who seem to worship sheer size alone- with little appreciation shown for the character of the athlete. I am returning to the iron game after a three year hiatus as is my training partner and fellow Ironage newbie Willis. I am looking to return to the size I was before but with more focus on symetry, proportion, and the overall aesthetic appearance of my physique. I believe that with the positive atmosphere and sheer inspirational power of this website I will achieve my goals in good time.
