Great workout at home on the machine. Traffic was so bad I turned around and came back home. It was so hot outside that I worked out on the machine in the carport.

Standing Preacher  Rev. Curls      5 x 20 #25
Standing Rev, Cable Pull Downs   3 x 20 #55

Triceps:
Skull Crushers                  5 x 45 #45
Standing Cable Push Downs      5 x 45 #65

Burr, it's great to see you keeping up your training and sharing your workout logs with all of us. Man, you're putting in some heavy training there brah . . . . how do you keep it up (the workouts I mean). That Friday workout was 43 sets plus calves!

Maybe it's all that Filipino balut you're eating . . . . eh? Embarrassed

Burr . . . one more thing. I replied to your post in the Training Section that I was going to start a workout log here but I don't think this is the right place for me to do this. I'll start one in the Ask the Champs Section with my mates Frank and Richard . . . . Training in Your 60's. Man that sounds so old! Hahaha.

I know you've got good company here with Scott and Andrew but where is everyone else? I'd like to see more workout logs from the other entrants.

Morning Les,
I don't know how or why I do a big workout, I just always have for all the years I trained. I've had trainers ask the same thing, I don't know I just do it.
Some days I don't feel like doing all the Rep's so I don't, But most days I just go down the list in my hand and do it and feel good. I put on a headset with loud 133 BPS music and I don't talk to anyone, I just do!!!!

You eat those nasty things? I don't need'em yet still running in the three a week routine, or more.

As to posting a workout, I think we should all post in a line that way it's easy to follow/read. (my 2c's)

We are starting to get a little winter up here, in the 70's at night but the days are still getting up in the 90's.

When does the NRA Rugby start down under? I like to follow them because it's in my afternoon. A friend records the UK Rugby for me so I can watch it during the week.

OK, take care and as Frank Says "FEEL THE PUMP"

Did my Monday workout with a little Yoga to start.

Tried doing the bench presses as per the Video and it hurt my back. I'll need to work with it when I have time.

It is sure hot here, I'll cycle tomorrow.

That heat has got to be hard for you Burr, you don't have air-conditioning do you?
I watched that video on bench pressing and I can see the value in arching your back when your do this exercise as a power-lifter. But as a bodybuilder I always kept my back flat on the bench and used less weight and concentrated on strict form through the entire movement. Yeah, even had my legs raised and crossed as you wrote and I have never experienced any shoulder problems.
Keep up the good work and try to stay cool.  Cool  Smiley

Glad to hear that Les. The back arch is what hurt me, and man it hurt.
I think no damage done but I'll just do what I've been doing that worked for me all these years.

Heats not that bad, I've been here 5 years. I have AC in the rooms in the house and I turn it on at 90 in what ever room I'm in. I also have ceiling fans in every room. BUT the gym has no AC and my stuff is all outside under a tree or in the carport.

Thanks Les.

Hi Burr - I have been checking your workouts and it is nice to see that you are doing well, keeping the reps high and feeling the pump. Like Arnold said, the pump is the greatest thing since sex.
