Today is the first day back to the gym after being sick (bad cold) since Sat. evening. I felt good almost 100% so I did a light workout as follows:

Warm up: 3x50 crunch sit ups.

Wide ballet squats: 3x12.
Narrow stance squats: 3x12
Leg ext: 3x15
Leg curls: 3x15
Calf raises: 5x20

Rode the bike for 10 minutes.

Breakfast: A bowl of Hi Pro Kashi cereal with skim milk and a cup of coffee.
During my workout, I drank a quart of water mixed with an envelope of Emergen-C.
After my workout: Whey pro shake with water.
Lunch: A bowl of chicken soup and 4 slices of provolone cheese and one banana.
Dinner: A large round steak, small baked potato and spinach.
Before bed: Another Emergen-C drink and a pure pro. bar.

Pumping again,

Frankie, if you post another photo of your progress when you get a chance I'll take it and show Gajda and Seno and the guys.

Glad you're over your cold....it would have killed a lesser man.

Yo Terry - I will post some update photo's soon. I am just happy to be feeling real good.....So now, it is time to get real serious.........When I walked into the gym today, I told the front desk clerk that i come to build muscles! Then I said what do you think about that and his reply was "I just want to eat my cake." Kiss

Yesterday, I trained chest shoulders and biceps with my son and we not only had a great workout, we had fun doing so. We did drop sets and  forced reps until we could no longer pump the muscle worked.

Today, I worked legs alone to the tune of 8 sets of squats, 5 sets of hacks and 3 sets of leg ext. Followed by 4 sets of leg curls and 8 sets of heavy calf raises.

Frank.  It seems that you don't take in all that much protein.  What are your thoughts on nutrient ratios?

Good question Finn - That being said, I take in about one gram of protein per pound of body weight. Keep in mind that I only weigh 160# at 5'3" tall and I am almost 64 years young. At my age, taking in too much protein is hard on the kidneys and not healthy. However, as I get closer to my contest date, my diet will change to a lower carb and a much higher protein intake. Once the contest is over, I will drop the grams of protein down to 150 grams per day. I like complex carbs and I like to eat healthy for overall well being.

Frank, do you ever get cravings for Hershey Bars, Milky Ways, Three Musketeers, M&M's or Snickers?  Or maybe even do-nuts?  If so, do you ever eat any of that stuff?  Sometimes when I go into a convenience store I look over at the candy bars and think:  "Wow I'd love to have "A FEW"  Roll Eyes  of those!"  But... I always resist.  Sometimes I buy a chocolate Power Bar and chocolate peanut butter Tiger's Milk Bar and while I'm scarfing them down I pretend they are Hershey Bars!

I am not real big on candy  bars but I do love oatmeal cookies. Every so often, I will bake a batch of home made cookies and eat a few on my cheat day. I do indulge in one cheat meal per week but as I get closer to my show time, I eliminate that cheat meal. However, after the show, I have been noted to pig out for 2-3 days and loving it Smiley
