John,
How the heck did I miss you at the booth?. I was there every day? I must have gone out for something quick to eat or a pee break
I wanted to get my picture taken with you buddy - next year for sure !
Your good friend Joe Meeko Sorry I missed you too Joe, it would have been an honor to meet you. I remember looking up to your physique when you won the 1984 America. Everyone from my gym (and I came from a real hardcore gym in Chicago) was impressed by your showing in that year's America. There was really some tough competition that year (Mike Quinn, Abe Questa, Glenn Kneer, Phil Rohde, etc) but you were definitely the winner.
John

Hi, John I have both your book and dvd and really enjoy them both. My question is do you always use the same split that you outline in the dvd or do you change things? Is it better for a natural trainee to do each muscle group once or twice a week?

Marco, I have two different routines that I alternate each week. For example, my first chest workout is barbell bench press, incline db press, flat flyes and db pull-overs. My second chest workout is db bench press, barbell incline press, incline flyes and wide-grip dips. I do this with each bodypart.
As for the frequency of training, I think that intermediate bodybuilders and guys in their early 20's can train each muscle group twice a week but more advanced bodybuilders and older bodybuilders (40's) would probably be better off training each bodypart once a week unless you were able to do a lighter, pump type workout for the 2nd workout in a week.

Hi.
I now split in 3. Day 1: Chest and back. Day 2: Shoulders and arms. Day 3 Legs.
I have done about 10 sets per bodypart 8 to 10 reps. The only real problem I see is leg training, but as you say I shall by myself such a machine. Would you advice me to train less excersises and more sets with less reps and more weights? Would you advice whole body routine?
OK, you can do this:
Chest - bench press, incline press, flyes Back - chins, barbell rows, db rows, deadlifts shoulders - db press, side laterals, bent over laterals, shrugs, upright rows Legs - squats, lunges, step ups, db leg curls, stiff leg deads triceps - close grip bench, lying or seated extensions, dips or bench dips biceps - incline curls, barbell curls, dumbbell curls (seated or standing) calves - donkey calf raises, standing calf raises (leaning the barbell against the power rack), seated calf raises (barbell on the knees)

You're welcome Marco. I have another dvd coming out in a week or so. It's a seminar I gave on training and nutrition and it's full of tons of information. There is also a bonus section on the highlights of my competitive career. I'll let you know when it comes out.

Your weight brother Joe Meeko web  www.power-grips.com Yes, Joe, I would love to be on a radio and TV show with you and those great champs. Tell me the details. John,
I was on a few weeks ago and the show is called (Fitness Focus) with Sherri Horner. She is so pupular in a 5 state range on her live fitness talk show that they are giving here her own live TV talk show!
I just spoke to her yesterday and she just got word that her sponsors gave her the TV show. For now you can check out her website at www.healthfitnessbroadcast.com
What state are you from John? The radio show I went there live for because I wanted to meet her in person and I also wanted to met Troy Pearsall, who has a natural Bodybuliding magazine out (hard copy) and online at www.fire-iron-online.com\xA0 and I invited him on the show with me since I write for his magazine.
If you're too far away to Vineland, NJ. you can be phone patched in from your house. It's a live call in question and answere show, but we got so busy talking among ourselves at the station that we didn't have much time to answere phone calls that night We had a GREAT time and Sherri is a great lady (very talented). The show is a one hour program. I'll let you know the date soon. Sherri Horner said the earliest would be sometime in May.
Now the TV show I'm not sure yet because she just got the OK from the sponsors yesterday. But she will let me know the date soon. That obviousely we would need to be there live for
PM me your phone and personal email and I'll shoot mine back.
